Cookie Policy

1. Summary and scope

This policy applies only to the corporate website published at the straitcore.com root address. It does not cover our product platforms, whether they run on their own domain or on a straitcore.com subdomain: each is a separate service with its own legal documentation (see Section 8).

straitcore.com is a statically generated informational website. It has no user accounts, no login area, no shopping function and no forms. Because it neither identifies nor remembers visitors, it has no technical or commercial reason to store anything on your device.

• No cookies of any kind are set by this website — not first-party, not third-party.
• No analytics or measurement platform is installed. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Plausible, PostHog, Hotjar or comparable tool.
• No advertising, remarketing or conversion pixels are present.
• No localStorage, sessionStorage or other browser storage is written by this site.
• No consent banner is displayed, because there is nothing to consent to.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On each subsequent request to that website, the browser sends the file back, which allows the site to recognise the browser and link separate visits or page views together.

Cookies are used for legitimate technical purposes such as keeping a user signed in during a session, and also for purposes that require the visitor's informed consent, such as audience measurement, behavioural profiling and advertising. Similar results can be achieved without classic cookies — through localStorage, tracking pixels, embedded third-party scripts or device fingerprinting — and cookie rules are generally understood to extend to those techniques as well.

Under Turkish law, the storing of information on, or accessing information already stored in, a user's terminal equipment is assessed primarily under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) together with electronic communications legislation. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the equivalent framework is the ePrivacy Directive read together with the GDPR. Both frameworks require a lawful basis, and in most cases prior consent, before non-essential storage takes place. This website avoids the question entirely by not writing to your device at all.

3. Cookie categories this website does not use, and why

The list below follows the categories commonly used in cookie regulation. In each case the reason for absence is structural rather than a matter of policy preference: the functionality that would require such a cookie does not exist on this site.

• Strictly necessary cookies — not used. There is no login, session, basket, checkout or form submission, so there is no state that has to survive from one page request to the next.
• Functionality and preference cookies — not used. The site has a single language and a single presentation; there is no theme switch, region selector or saved setting to remember.
• Analytics and performance cookies — not used. Visits are not counted, segmented, sampled or reported through any analytics product. We do not know how many pages you viewed or how long you stayed.
• Advertising and targeting cookies — not used. No ad network, retargeting list, conversion tag or audience pixel is connected to this website.
• Social media cookies — not used. Our LinkedIn and Instagram references are ordinary hyperlinks. No embedded feed, follow button, share widget or social plugin runs on our pages.

4. Other storage and tracking technologies

Because cookie rules are function-based rather than technology-based, it is worth stating plainly which adjacent techniques are also absent. None of the following are used on the straitcore.com root address:

• localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or any other client-side database.
• Tracking pixels, web beacons, clear GIFs or invisible tracking images.
• Third-party tag managers or externally hosted scripts. All scripts and stylesheets are first-party and served as part of the static site.
• Externally hosted fonts. Typefaces are served from our own server, so no font provider receives a request when you open a page here.
• Device or browser fingerprinting, cross-site identifiers, and any form of behavioural profiling.
• Contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, accounts and payments. The only contact route offered is a mailto: link, which opens your own email application; nothing is transmitted to this website when you use it.

5. Browser cache and other technical storage

Your browser may keep a local copy of the pages, stylesheets, scripts, images and fonts it has already downloaded, so that repeat visits load faster. This is standard HTTP caching. It is performed by the browser under settings you control, it holds only copies of publicly available files, and it contains no identifier, no profile and nothing personal to you.

The distinction matters: a cookie is created at the website's request and is sent back to that website on every subsequent request, which is what makes recognition and tracking possible. A cached file is simply a stored copy of content the browser already fetched. It is never transmitted back to us and it cannot be read by us.

If you wish to remove cached files, every major browser offers a "clear browsing data" or "empty cache" function. Doing so has no effect on how this site works, beyond a marginally slower first load afterwards.

6. Server access logs

Like any website reachable over the public internet, straitcore.com is served by a web server that records the requests it receives. These access logs are generated on the server, not stored on your device, and are therefore not cookies. They typically contain the requesting IP address, the date and time, the requested address, the HTTP response code, the volume of data transferred, the referring address where the browser supplies one, and the browser's user-agent string.

These records exist to keep the service secure and operational: detecting and mitigating attacks and abuse, diagnosing errors, and maintaining availability. They are not used to build visitor profiles, to measure marketing performance, or to follow users across other websites, and they are not combined with data from other sources for those purposes.

As a controller established in Türkiye, our ground for this processing is the legitimate interest in the security and integrity of our systems under Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Where the GDPR applies — in particular for visitors in the European Economic Area — the corresponding basis is the legitimate interests ground in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. 7. Links to external websites

This website links out to a small number of external destinations, including our LinkedIn and Instagram profiles. These are plain hyperlinks: nothing is loaded from those platforms while you are on straitcore.com, and they receive no signal from us about your visit.

Once you click such a link, however, you leave this site and enter an environment we do not control. The destination platform will apply its own cookies, storage and tracking practices from the moment its page loads, and if you are already signed in to that platform it may associate the visit with your account there.

• Cookie behaviour on an external site is governed by that site's own cookie and privacy policies, not by this one.
• We have no ability to set, read, block or delete cookies placed by an external platform.
• If you prefer not to be recognised by such a platform, consider signing out of it, using a separate browser profile, or opening the link in a private browsing window before clicking through.

8. Cookies on our product platforms

Straitcore operates several products — including Adspotz, Horecas, TripaWise and OtOrder — each on its own domain or subdomain. Those are functioning applications rather than informational pages: they involve accounts, subscriptions, payment processing and the handling of customer data, and they will therefore use cookies or equivalent storage, at minimum for authenticated sessions and security.

Nothing in this Cookie Policy describes, limits or governs how those products behave. Each product website publishes its own legal documentation on its own domain — at minimum a privacy notice and service terms — and those documents are the ones that apply when you use that product.

• Using a product platform: consult the privacy notice, service terms and any cookie information published on that product's own domain.
• Exercising data protection rights in connection with a product: use the contact route given in that product's privacy notice, which identifies the relevant controller and channels.
• Reading this page: the statements here concern the straitcore.com root address only.

9. Managing cookies in your browser

Blocking or deleting cookies has no effect on straitcore.com, since this site sets none and requires none to display correctly. The guidance below is provided because visitors reasonably expect a cookie policy to explain where the controls are, and because those controls are relevant on the external and product sites described above.

• Browser-level signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control can be enabled in browsers that support them. We have nothing to apply them to, but sites that do track are the appropriate recipients of such signals.
• Be aware that blocking all cookies globally will break sign-in and other essential functions on sites that legitimately depend on them.

10. Changes to this Cookie Policy

This policy describes the website as it is currently built. If that changes — for example if we add a contact form, an audience measurement tool, an embedded video player or any other component that stores information on your device — this page will be updated to reflect the change.

In that event we will identify the storage concerned, its category, its purpose, its duration and, where applicable, the third party involved. Where prior consent is required under KVKK, the ePrivacy Directive or the GDPR, a consent mechanism will be presented and non-essential storage will not take place before consent is given. Consent will be refusable and withdrawable as easily as it is given.
